I heard a rumour that he was swept away, was fortuitously caught by a branch which hooked onto his collar but, close to death by strangulation, he managed slip out of the collar and crawl out of the water some miles downstream. An elderly couple heard his pathetic, weakening whimpers and (at some risk to themselves) pulled him from the muddy bank and toiled to carry him to their home (Rose Cottage), where they put him in the low Aga oven to dry - as you do with new-born orphaned lambs. When he showed signs of life they fed him with fresh, warmed milk until he revived enough to eat.
The shock had confused him and although he had memories stirring of another home in the distant past, he shrank from the dangers of exploring that and settled happily into his new home. Well, that's what I heard from a generally reliable source. :)

I was half-listening to radio 4 this afternoon, and heard that there would be a piece on Feedback about our dear friend RT. Apparently he was booed at a meeting (as his character). Then I forgot to listen and have missed it. How can I listen to the programme again? It isn't listed as being repeated. Is it BBC I player?
