Yet another programme about this now on C5. It says this is a repeat but I don't recognise it. Anyone else watching?

it is a repeat. never watched it because it never interested me as a subject, but I do remember it because I felt the same last time it was on

I watched it first time round. Given that they don't know who Jack The Ripper was, how they can call it the "Definitive Story" I don't know.

yes just another rehash with enactments and the like, with no conclusion other than could have beens. it was shown a few months back. i believe there was a thread here somewhere about it.

Is there only me who couldn't care less anyway? It happened hundreds of years ago. How many possible stories can they keep trotting out about it?

I think we can safely say that we will *never* know the true identity of JtR.
Too much time has passed and the evidence, such as it was, was not able to be scrutinised forensically as it would be these days......

Regardless of that, the programme wasn't up to much, either....:o(
