Always enjoyed this programme, until now.Since James Bolam and now Alun Armstrong have gone out from it it's not the same.Denis Lawson doesn't do it for me and Nicholas Lyndhurst looks acts like an older version of Gary Sparrow.

It now lacks the eccentricity of Alun Armstrong's character, and the sagacity of James Bolam's character.
Awwww, give it a chance eh?
I thought you fellas would have liked tonights episode, plenty of nudity!
i've not bothered with it after the first 2 episodes and i've watched it since episode 1 season 1. oh well, Angel, Buffy, Stargate, Bones, they knew how to keep their fans.
It may take a couple of episodes to allow the Nicholas Lyndhurst character to bed in to the role. We still have Tamzin Outhwaite to take over from Amanda Redman later in the series leaving only Dennis Waterman as the only original cast member. I still like the programme. Stick with it.

Ferlew. From your post last week Susan Jamieson played Myra Booth who was married to Jerry Booth, who worked for Len Fairclough in Coronation Street.
thought Nic Lins character was very original and worked well (and I don't particularly like him in anything other than OFAHorses) loved the original programme/cast and think a complete change of leading actors is not going to sit well with viewers.
I've never liked it, I found the concept preposterous. And I can't take my eyes of Dennis watermans teeth! I call it New Teeth
Ah yes Grumpy, Gerry Booth's wife. Lord knows how long ago that was.
that was even before when the boat comes in, 'i was dancing at the ritz blah blah lol '
I kept waing for Lyndhurst to walk through a wall!

An interesting observation. When Sandra Pullman is asked what Griffin's age is, she says he is 52 and recently retired from the met.I note from wikipedia that ,in fact, that is Nicholas Lyndhurst's real age.
I thought the daughter was a wonderful character and want more of her !!!
I like it.
I agree with you brionon.

The character Holly Griffin, played by Storme Toolis, could become a popular character. She could replace Esther Lane, Susan Jameson's character, who got some of the best lines IMO.

Always looks like a Retirement Home for aged Actors and Scriptwriters to me.
