Is any one else saddened at the early death of Crocodile hunter Steve Irwin? I have just read the news and chill went down my spine. I liked his programme because of his good sense of fun and the way he brought awareness to looking after animals. I wish his family all the best especially his young children.

yes very sad to hear this always enjoyed his tv show and he seemed to do a lot of good for the wildlife in australia.
I must admit, Im more saddened by his death than I was of Princess Di's death, I know some people will find this disgusting, but he reached me more when i was a child and opened my eyes to the world of reptiles and conservation.

i was saddened and shocked to hear the news this morning. I always felt he would meet his death doing what he loved but never thought it would happen that way. I thought a croc would get him in the end. Very sad for his wife and two young children. He had such a great respect and love for wildlife. He will be dearly missed for the good work he did.
I am also very saddened by the sad news of Steve's passing, i could not believe it when i heard it on the news this morning everyone is talking about it and this shows how well known he was for the amazing work that he carried out in his sort life!

He made Austraila zoo what it is today and will always be remembered for the risks that he took and the amazing work that he has carried out over the years.

I feel for his wife, 2 children and all of the friends that he has left behind.

I know what you mean homer55.. I felt sad a princess Di, but not cut up like some people were.

I think alot of people feel shocked because he was such a large personality who grabbed life by horns and said im going to make the most of what I do and he sure did.

It's hard to think that that big ball of energy is now still, does that make sense?

Hi everyone, It is sad, although I thought it would be a croc or snake that would have got him, not a sting ray that are normally docile creatures.
It just goes to show that when your number is up not much you can do about it. RIP Al
I just read the news on imdb (it's just morning here in N.J.) and was so shocked, I had to check my calendar to make sure I hadn't time-warped to April 1. I'm so sad for his wife and children, as well as for his beloved Australia Zoo.

Steve was just as fascinating to watch as was the wildlife he advocated. His larger than life personality was backed by rock-solid skills; it was a captivating combination. Spurslady was right - he made the most of everything he did. Crikey, Steve, you'll be missed.
willa if they'd done that as an aprils fools they'd have been very sick people. just like the people sending the sick joke e-mail about him already
But then on the left of this page they are selling steve irwin t-shirts!
sorry on the right, in fact all of the adverts are about him.

Oh my god! I have just noticed the advert for SI t-shirts, after you mentioned it. Talk about cashing in on some ones death How on earth can the AB let them do it so soon?

Just shows the old saying another person's loss is another ones gain SICK!

I watched one of Steve Irwin's programmes yesterday, and as always, was struck simultaniously by his sheer energy and enthusiasm for life, and his deep love and rspect for the animals he worked with.

I am shocked and deeply saddened by his sudden death, I can only hope he didn't suffer, and know that he died in his environment, with animals and friends around him - a way we'd all like to go given the choice.
Ab always has ads relevant to the subject. I don't think it is done with any relevance to his death, just the man in question.
yes it will be done by some automatic software. if you asked a question called 'Class A drugs' it would probably say 'Buy Class A drugs on EBay!'
yeah, but the ads dont have to be about his death, not so soon anyway. The 'Steve Irwin has died, buy a t shirt' advert is just in plain bad taste.

Someone's gone in to work today thinking 'we can make a few quid out of this'
Oh No, i have just noticed the ad with steve irwin, remember the legend on! that is in poor taste. No doubt AB will be onto it in no time at all.
spurslady i get what you mean about not being able to imagine him being still now. when i was watching the news, there were clips of him being as energetic and enthusiastic as ever and i couldn't believe he's now gone.
Rest In Peace Steve.
its an automated system - it just takes the words of the question and links them to the sites of regular ads that are of the same subject, it is not planned out by some individual.
the t-shirt one is unfortunate and someone is a bit quick off the mark with the 'remember the legend' stuff.
the rest are pretty general and what would come up if you put his name in google

My friend told me about irwin's death this morning and I have to admit I thought she was joking.. I mean, this is steve Irwin right? I thought he was like.. invincible?!

It's really sad and right now I still don't quite believe it.

RIP Steve xx
