Trying to recall a television series from my childhood. This would have been in the late sixties or early seventies. Can't say if it was American or British and the only clue I've got for you is that every episode started with the hero listenig to his new assignment on a cassette tape which always ended with the words "this tape will self-destruct within thirty seconds" - something along those lines. Driving me crazy!
TIA (back tonight to say thanks to anyone who's been able to put me out of my misery, as it were:)

(((((((Helloooooo - New Hostess??))))))) ......well, possums, I suspect New Hostess is busy watching the new contest show or perhaps she's even entered it and can't be bothered with the biddies tonight http://i29.tinypic.com/25gz18n.jpg ;-)) All who submitted suggestions should have received an email from me. There is a new home waiting for us and if ^^that contest show is still on tomorrow I'll send the invitations out myself, but - New Hostess - not having heard back from you on that offer I have been assuming that you explicitly want to do it yourself. Hope everything's okay.
G'night everyone. Happy to see your pupils are already looking more normal, Stick Woman http://i26.tinypic.com/vov6nb.jpg >>>>>>

LOL Vin. Luv yer!!
Just got in after a good night out. Saw people I hadn't seen for ages loved the music and danced the night away and all that on water, ice and a slice.(drink of, not danced on) Honest!
Just read that thread Jno. didn't quite know what to make of it.
Hi Dolly, Pearl sounds a cutie. I've heard they take dogs into hospitals and homes to help sick people as they are thought to be therapeutic and calming. Talking about water I drink loads in the Summer. I also drink loads of milk but I don't know if that is all that good for me but I've done that all my life so too late to worry now.
Hope your eyes are getting better now Robi.( Thinks to self - they must be if Robi can read this!!) Take care of yourself.
Well that's me done off to bed now Night NIght ! x

morning all, have just skimmed thread, Kit you made me laugh out loud, glad to see Vinny back safe and sound and that Robi is still with us. Dolly my DH has to do the water thing, he drinks weak decaff (has to be decaff) tea which he has been told counts, also he puts squash in the water which helps..the dogs are lovely, my boys do that wriggling on the bed thing too. Neti you can come and nurse anytime...DH is causing havoc in the hospital but the nurses seem to love him hah ha.
Just to add to the love fest and hi to Jude and Shaney, (How is Mr S?)
You lot have been my sanity savers over the last few months and before.

<whispers> good morning to all ailing biddies and their hubbies, I hope people are feeling better and seeing better. There might even be a little light rain today to help my lawn heal. Digging the drains left big cracks in the grass, made bigger as heat and dry weather made it all drink, so I've stuffed tehm with compost and grass seed but some rain to soften it all up and moisturise it would be welcome, especially since it's going back up to 80-plus next week. It would be better if it happened at night as in Camelot, of course.
