fuel probs

as i touch accelerator the engine is kicking like fuel starvation started to tick over at at higher rate but at 60 constant no problems . any ideas please

Yes .. right! That's the thing to do.
(without knowing what car it is .. or even if it HAS a diagnostic connection!)

What car and model MM?
It's likely to be a carboned-up throttle body (around butterfly) and/or TPS sensor playing up.
There is a chance it is the flowmeter or an air intake pipe depending on make/model.

its a rover 25 1400cc 2001 year

Haven't these a MAP sensor in inlet manifold?
Start with the throttle body (as above) .. and check the inlet pipes.
