Motorway Magnets!
Just returned from Blackpool, do you know that the Government has issued instructions that the Motorway Middle lanes "MAGNETS" are to remain in force to help them bloody idiots not to run off the Motorways.

Instructors now just get you past the test, when I learnt back in 1971 my instructor took me on a dual carriage way , built to motorway standards but nor designated as a motorway.
He told me I had to do 70 mph all the way , overtake slower traffic correctly and use the correct lane. This should be compusory before you are allowed to drive on a motorway. The present situation is stupid, you have never driven outside a town centre and never been over 30 mph but as soon as you have the pass certificate you can do 70 straight down the M25 !

By the way Lozzer, I do drive a German car you describe, I stop for elderly people that try & cross the road, I stop for Parents with prams to cross the road, I have also got out of my car + HGV to assist blind people to cross the road, you see, never judge the book by looking at the cover! do you understand that Or do you need further explanation?
