Do you still need to know the highway code before you take the test? Should my grand daughter buy it and read it ?

Is only one small part of the driving experience, your G.D needs to READ THE ROAD , read other drivers minds, how to control if in a skid etc, If and when she passes her test enroll her on a A.D.C. to further her driving ability, also advise her about the clowns that try and distract her within her car should she get one, she may have one chance, and that one chance could be her last.
