I assume BMW and AUDI drivers don't wave as they are completely unaware that there is anyone else on the road.
I get waves from other classics when out in my Triumph Spitfire but I find a wave from MGB owners a rare event :(
Back in the early Sixties I had a Fiat 500 (the original one, which really was 500cc*, not the 1.2litre modern mock-up) and most 500 drivers waved in those days.

*actually 499.5 !
'Caravanners always acknowledge each other' ....sorry to disappoint you Chris, that hasn't happened for years and years, not since the days when there weren't many touring vans on the road.
The last time I remember it happening was on our first towing trip to France some thirty years ago when it was fairly unusual to see a GB sticker on a van.
The car I just sold, to some they think your up your own rs when driving the car, to me the car was bought for reliability & that's what it give me the 6 years I had it, regards waving at other owners of the same, not interested, my mind is on my driving not looking at other peoples cars.
That's a poor show TWR, you should always be aware of other road users, no?

I had a smart car and I was often flashed or waved at by other drivers, I may have reciprocated but never initiated.
Other road uses, "Yes" hand gestures "No"
I use finger gestures sometimes, TWR ;-)
I used a few when on the Big Stuff Tony, around your area on a Monday Morn, Sorry if you were one of them around Walsall lol lol ( I used to stop there just off the M6 South.
Junc 10 or 9, TWR. I may well have been one of them ;-)
According to the website there are only 365 cars left on the road of the type I drive but on the few occasions when we meet, we usually acknowledge each other.
What are you driving, Vulcan ?.
My car has wings but doesn't have arms to wave with.
I think it was 10 Tony, the one after Hilton Park ( South )
Vulcan, are you sure they're waving or just trying to,tell you something's fallen off? ;-)
Zacs, nothing has ever fallen off my car and it passed it's MOT 3 weeks ago with nothing, repeat nothing, done to it.
Cheesh, can't stand jealousy! :o)
Blimey I'm surprised thats all thats left on the road, Vulcan.

Yep, junc 10 TWR.

When I got my first car licence in the middle of WWII there were so few cars on the roads that it was normal to acknowledge another car of the same make. And there were no tests in those days!
One of our driver's Tony coming North out of H/Park was eating an apple, got pulled by the police just before the old (A5) Cannock, got a rolocking & sent on his way, no ticket a good cop.
