peugeot headlights

the bulb has gone on the drivers side main headlight how do i know what bulb to use. do i need the h4 or the h7. i drive a peugeot 206 1.4lx w reg

It will be the H4 type.

i asked the same question to a seller on ebay and he said i need the h7 bulb , now im really confussed. was he just saying it for the sale ?.

I also believe that H4 is the correct type, however researching this on the web has produced other answers.

My suggestion would be to physically compare the bulb to these diagrams - H4 H7 - to ensure the correct type.
