Speed Detectors
Can anyone recommend a detector, or suggest what to look for when considering buying one.
It seems prices range from 99 (ad in BBC TG mag) to 400+, so what is the difference?
Before anyone pipes up, I do not speed, have been driving for 30 years with no points, and do not condone speeding. But these days, it would be so easy to collect points from a short lapse of concentration, or in an unfamiliar area (ask my wife) and I don't want to get caught!

Ive always wanted to put a large ramp behind the camera so I can get a piccie of me in mid air, could they still prosecute me for flying over the speed limit?

Hi pompei, I totally agree with what you are saying ! I got a GSP 'safety' camera detector about six months ago and I can't fault it. Check out www.talex.co.uk I got the 'lite' version which is fine and it is now well under 100. The unit warns when you exceed the prescribed limit so you don't need to spend time gazing at the dial with the pointy needle and can concentrate on making brisk, safe progress along our congested highways.
