I know this has been approached before, but it didnt answer all my questions.

I think everybody knows the rules and capabilities of the Gatso now. But the new average spped camera's (used mainly in road works) do these really work... do you know people that have been caught or have you?

Do they get you at 51mph or does a 10% allowance apply..

I have read the article on avoiding speeding fines by switching lanes.. but does this work? or are the police double bluffing us.

you'll still have the 10% allowance. That's there because manufacturers can't gaurantee accuracy of speedos. I noticed the speedo on was about 5mph over estimating what the sat nav says I'm doing.

As for the changing lanes thing, apparently it works, but I haven't had the nerve to try it. Plus, usually you can't go any faster anyway
well,i can tell you they definately work,i got done on the M1 in herts the other week, doing a average of 45 mph.
