Log Book
2 Answers
My father died very recently, leaving all his assets to my Mother, including his car. My mother does not drive, and is giving us the car, which we intend to sell as it is not suitable. Do we have to send the log book back and have the car registered to her and then send it off again to be registered in our name, or can we send it off just the once, to be registered in our name? We can only get insurance coverage for two weeks on our own policy, and will be driving it for that period of time.
Should we also have it declared SORN if we cannot sell the car in that time? It would be parked off road on our property.

if you send the log book back to be put in your name then the amount of owners goes up by 1 more.not sure if your aware that a car is worth less and less the amount of owners goes up.
so i say sell it with it still in your dads name.
P.S.
im sorry for your loss of your dad.take care.
