my dash board display keeps going off ,reading a web site and lots of others have had the same problem .does anyone else know any think else about this problem ? http://www.howtomendit.com/answers.php?id=9682 7

A lot of boards now are on a printed circuit you may be lucky to find that there is a bad connection on the feed into the board, you will only find this out be removing the dash take out the board and cleaning the contact area, It can be done but take your time, as they are like a woman very delicate ( No offence to the lady's)

its a big problem with the dash board on the Renault,ive been on the phone to Renault customer services today they told me to book it in to the garage and they will pay towards the bill .

Good on you Sleepy, One bit of advise what they have said to you make sure you either get a witness or get it in writing, ( Do I come over as Untrusting? I can tell you a story or two.

i hope they stick to what i was told .ive booked it in for next week and he said he would talk to the garage after and sort out a payment .i know what u mean about trusting what people say .i thought the same .i wont go a head with the repair till the garage also tell me how much Renault are paying towards the repair bill ,

Hi Sleepy, I had something on the same line with my wifes Pug 307 & the rear coil springs that snapped, I contacted pug at Coventry & after a month or so & a lot of debate I won my case & pug paid for the Springs, I replaced the springs myself of which I was not bothered but I kept them to their word.

well im going to pay so much towards it and then join everyone else that have gone to watch dog about the same problem .it need to be fixed soon when mine goes of it does come back on again some don't work after .i was reading a lot of people didn't get any payment towards the repair bill .

Well Sleepy, I wish I was fighting your case believe me, I have fought against Fords, Pugs Twice, Vaxhalls, got my facts well in advance right, put it to them in the most effective way & won, it was not the case of being a clever sod it was a case that their product was not suited for the purpose of it's intention, in your case your dash readings keep going off that in-turn could get you a speeding ticket, I do stand my ground but we are all different. thanks twr when i get my car fixed and they pay towards it im going to kick up a stink after to get it all paid for .i dont want to moan to much about it in case they dont pay anything .as they dont have to .i will ask u for advice if i need to thanks ;0

No probs, I'm alway on here like the rest of us, but I do not like people getting put on by the big boys, I'm know as a fighter of the BIG BOYS, not to be clever but to have rights.
