Call the nearest garage, who may be excellent, or see you as a good victim to rip off.

or call the AA, RAC and join there and then.
What will the police do?
What would the Police do?

if you had broken down in a dangerous place (outside lane of a motorway for example) they would be interested but otherwise it's not their problem.

I presume the AA or RAC would want a credit card number before thay would come out to you . But I dont have one.
if I was in that situation I would call a friend or family and join using their credit card and pay them the money back.
Phone the AA and join, it's a bit dearer but a lot cheaper than calling a garag yourself. You must have a debit card, that'll do.
I agree with chuck, I would call friends and family and may arrange breakdown cover in future just in case (cover can start from as little as £40 pounds a year) so its not out of reach for most budgets
to answer dustypuss, it depends what the breakdown is, if the car just stops going it is probably petrol. cars don't normally just stop going, unless your big end goes, and then it would usually get you somewhere near civilisation.
My car insurance has breakdown recovery on it for about an extra £30 a year, which I think is well worth it for the peace of mind.

Oh and I forgot to say my phone run out of credit
Dot, sorry, but what on earth are you about?

Cars break down for hundreds of reasons, big ends probably being one of the least common (also big ends going is not really something that would sneak up on you, the car would be making a hell of a racket before they went)
if you are on 02 or orange you can have lend us a quid or the orange euivalent. plus, most people have free texts don't they? You can have a phone top up using a debit card without needing the card with you.
someone nicking the engine while you were checking your radio would make the car stop
if you have no credit then either get looking

Or flag a passing car down and hope they will let you use their phone (are you trying to make this hard)
I fondly remember my car breaking down on a regular basis because the ecu needed reprogramming
I used to have an old mk1 fiesta with a fondness for breaking it's clutch cable.

that made for some interesting drives home without a clutch :)
you seem to be online oange and o2 also do free texts via their website just log into your account not sure about other mobile companies but you can always try
I think this is a hypothetical question cherry, I don't think he is sitting in the car broken down right now :)
