Don't know, but apparently it is now known as an 'ear-worm'. I get them, too. :)

here's one for you !
Sometimes I do, 237SJ. Usually something I don't even like though.
It's obvious why it happens, surely, isn't it?

You fall asleep under the table in the pub and then wake up again when the juke box is playing ;-)

Yes, I do - but it's my radio alarm :-)

To right, Chris. About time that landlord changed those records.

I woke up in my bunk down the back of a 747 the other day and 'I'm Mandy Fly Me' was playing in my head. Thanfully we didn't crash

I also had Peace by Annie lennox Fab
I do and most times the song comes on the radio within half an hour of switching it on!
Yes fairly often.
Bit scary when you switch the radio on and the same song is playing.
Since being to see Trainspotting 2 I have been singing Perfect Day - real ear worm.

"You fall asleep under the table in the pub" I have actually done that. Then decamped to the pub bowling alley because the landlord wanted to hoover the pub. NY Eve 1999 When I woke up I wondered why the pile of rags in the corner were moving and then I realised the pile of rags were actually the pub Chef
I have the opposite. I lie down to go to sleep and a song appears in my head. It's really irritating!
I have problems further down my body first thing in the morning - it could be my aerial though? Anybody want an improvement in their reception?

Tilly - I once worked with a guy who said he has the same problem as you. He said that the minute he tried to sleep a song would go through his head and he couldn't stop it. Have you tried cancelling out the song by playing the radio on a low volume next to the bed?
This was my ear worm this morning at work !

I never thought of that , 237. I might give that a try.
Question Author
^ At least that was a decent song
I actually lie in bed, jiggling my out of the covers feet to the tune in my head. Mr T never moans at me. He just goes to sleep.
