I'm thinking the sound that is coming from the beeb isn't top quality, not just for Kylie but all the sets I have heard so far. There was a young singer on earlier that you could only hear every third word.

Andy Hughes, most female solo artists are lookers, their looks initially prioritised over talent because it makes them easily marketable. What they lack in ability and vocals gets worked on, not just by coaches but more by technology (making their recording sound better), carefully chosen songs, and making the most of their sex appeal in clothing, choreography, performance, videos etc. If Kylie was an ordinary looking chubster, she’d never have become a successful actress let alone pop star given the very limited talent and voice she has

As a blue blooded, heterosexual male, i can honestly say that Kylie has never floated my boat. Not even when wearing those skimpy hot pants. There is just something about her that leaves me quite cold. Not too keen on her kind of music, either, but that's neither here nor there as i am probably in the minority as regards my musical preferences. I believe she was supposed to headline Glasto a few years back but was diagnosed with a cancer, so good luck to her for finally getting to do the gig.
