My favourite Genesis album cover is Nursery Crimes. The lass wielding the stick has a sort of manic look in her eyes as she uses dolls heads as croquet balls.
It's a bygone age isn't it, record sleeves, with little CD covers replaced by downloads and streaming. Another casualty of the digital age. I liked some of the DIY singles from the punk / new wave, All the Boys Love Carrie by Another Pretty Face, with a green screen print.
The Clash. London Calling. The pink and green lettering was done to mimic the Elvis Presley album cover from the 50s. They were not mocking Elvis, they recognised his early pioneering influence on the young.
