Yet again we have another country burning to the ground.,And yet still we have people complaining they are not able to get on a polluting plane to go on their so called well earned holiday abroad. Incredible greed and selfishness.

Yes indeed. First world problems. Incidentally I wld love to get on a plane but mine wld be to see family on another continent. It’s been 2.5 years and I was supposed to fly there last March when lockdown hit. My parents are elderly and my mum has been dx with cancer. But South Africa is still on the “red” list. I am not 'putting the blame' anywhere, I merely stated a fact, and I don't need to be advised that 'passing on the blame' does not solve a problem.

Occupying the moral high ground and firing chippy sarcastic darts from it doesn't solve a problem either, but you seem to be happy with that as your default position.

If you seriously believe that the main motivation for people taking holidays is to enable them to boast to their neighbours about them on their return, then I suggest that your grasp on the culture of your country is as shaky as your climate change mantras.
