Boris made an appearance / statement / address to the UK public.? After watching a doctor being interviewed last night on TV, and still having problems breathing, I do wonder now if he's avoiding the flak.
sherradk do you ever actually contribute in an adult way to topics or do you just jump in and out of threads calling people names or advising they keep their oars out?.... I know you must be bored sick having to actually look after your kids, but its nice sometimes to debate like an adult rather than just call someone mad as a box of frogs because you don't agree with them. Just my humble opinion of course -feel free to ignore ;-)
12.59 :0) it still won't, and never will stop me from expressing my view, and more importantly speaking the truth, and the truth is this government tell lies day after day, And I don't need anyone to tell me that this sort of situation has never happened before, and its hard for the government to get it right, ( I know that) but its not hard to speak the truth, and it appears its not hard to lie either.
Matt Hancock admitted last Sunday (I think it was) on the daily update that there were shortages of gowns. He”S now being hounded by the press which is disgraceful. There’s not much news out there and I think reporters seem to think they have to ‘make their mark’ only the only show in town at the moment. I’m losing a LOT of confidence in journalism at the moment on a local and national level.
Teacake, just by way of advice, could you keep the above in mind when listening to reporters / newsreaders?
you only want an appearance so you can pick holes in it and accuse him of lying with no evidence like you normally do. He's obeying doctors orders sweetheart.
I take Journalism with a pinch of salt ( most times) what I do do, is read between the lines, Matt Hancock is a very convincing speaker, along with very good lies. Good example, to keep the masses happy, one hundred thousand tests a day by the end of April? in your dreams.
bobbi: "TC, I’m at a loss why you’ve turned into this anger machine" - there's whole group of them on here, so bitter and twisted, I can only assume it's because their man got his April kicked in Dec and they still haven't got over it.
TC: "...and more importantly speaking the truth, and the truth is this government tell lies day after day, " - once again, examples please. You spout this cobras and never back it up. That does constitute libel you know.
"Matt Hancock admitted last Sunday (I think it was) on the daily update that there were shortages of gowns." - indeed, of course there is a shortage of gowns, like there was a shortage of food in WWII. This is a war and believe it or not supplies of things we need are not constant. It's time the lefties got over their loss in Dec and stopped trying to make political capital out of this. Here's the news, there is not enough political capital in the world to put your man in no 10, capiesch?
Let me take some of the politics out of this thread. I voted for Boris. The real test for any government is how to handle things in a crisis, weather it be small, medium, or like we have now large. Up to now its been a poor response and a very late one. I'm sure if there was a conventional war, we wouldn't be short of bombs, er, hang on??
Teacake you have my sympathies in most respects - and I speak as one who has been verbally assaulted on this site. The current government has completely b***** up its handling of this crisis but most/many people don't seem to appreciate that. I differ from you only that I didn't vote for Boris.
I can take it :0) when this is done and dusted, Labour will be back in, along with my vote. Sadly I can see a lot more NHS staff dying including young junior doctors that have only just come out of medical school, because they will feel guilty if they say they don't want to join.
