What makes people who are born into a free society such as ours, go and take up arms against us?
Surely they should be tried for treason as British Nationals fighting against their own country.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.It appears that they were fighting troops from the country they are nationalised to/ born into so yes that is treason and in this case I think it should be that they are debarred from UK residence and left in Afghanistan if they are found guilty.
However treason is not such a simple thing as to be always cut and dry, especially in these islands- sometimes people commit treason because of a love of their country.
