With respect...............
I have just read most of the posts about Amy Winehouse. I shall miss her voice and the person she was, yes, even with her demons.
Most of all I feel so sad for her parents, they had tried so hard to bring her back from the edge, I guess she didn't want to listen oh Amy, Amy Amy!
I do realise that there are many parents who for many reasons (illness, war et al) that do have to say goodbye to their children but in the great scheme of things this is surely the wrong way round.
So to Amy's parents, the 23rd psalm:
Mizmor l'David.
Adonoy ro-i, lo echsar. Bin-ot desheh yarbitzayni,
al may m'nuchot y'nahalayni. Nafshi y'shovayv,
yanchayni v'ma-g'lay tzedek l'ma-an sh'mo.
Gam ki aylaych b'gay tzalmaves lo ira ra
ki atah imadi, shivt'cha umish-antecha, haymah y'nachamuni.
Ta-aroch l'fanai shulchan, neged tzor'roy,
dishantah vashemen roshi, kosi r'vayah.
Ach tov vachesed yird'funi kol y'may chayoy,
v'shavti b'vayt Adonoy l'orecha yamim.

GillyGee - thank you for your kind thoughts and starby and mamy and NOX and all others who expressed sympathy and kind thoughts with Amy's family and friends. she had to want to be free of drugs (whatever they were, and remember alcohol is a drug disguised as a drink).
she had health issues and probably dies of heart failure.
RIP Amy. a massive talent and a massive self destruct button which she pushed.

Hi everyone I just caught up with the last 72 hours of this I have been unable to get online during this period. I am appalled at the lack of respect shown for this thread by the minority, the thread was only ever meant to show compassion for those that Amy left behind. The 23rd psalm was left was in Hebrew and is traditionally used at Jewish funerals. Everyone is entitled to an opinion on this issue but this thread was not put up for certain members to score points. If you want a wider debate on this issue of drugs and their illegal use then please start one as I have already stated the title of the is thread is "WITH RESPECT........................" shame that isn't clearly understood by some !!
