My question is why would you want to go hiking in that area in the first place, there are lots of safe places to hike in the world, for a start they have the worlds longest hiking trail in their own country, the Appalachian Trail.

That's actually quite insulting, R1G, but I'll let it go - I've got better things to do with my day than try to decipher rhyming slang, when there is no reason not to put "US" - I thought this thread was interesting, otherwise, shows (if it does) that some American civilians have no concept of danger in other parts of the world.
