You then list mixed race, white (which you read as wannabe - wannabe what precisely? ) and african carribean as being the ethnicities of the people sought. Surely all this proves is that the ability and willingness to do evil has absolutely nothing to do with ethnicity and is instead sadly universal. There aren't good and bad races. There are good bad and indifferent people.
I'm not a believer in the two wrongs make a right theory and would rather that the police remain professional and treat all individuals with whom they come into contact with respect. Yes that includes not beating up or otherwise torturing e.g. through starvation or dehydration suspects. If suspects attack police officers then they can be charged, and are, with further offences.
The monitoring in police stations through cctv and recording of interviews can and does act to protect officers where false allegations are made. It also as nataile_1982 pointed out serves to protect us from police officers who can break rules and commit crimes too. Some of the most notorious miscarriages of justice in the latter half of the 20th century occured when police officers beat confessions from people. Examples include the Birmingham Six, Guildford 4, Bridgewater 4 etc. in all cases these innocent people were widely accepted as guilty and would have been hanged haad we had capital punishment.
If a member of my family were attacked in this way I would want the cruellest punishment to be meted out. i would want to hurt, to torture, to maim and to kill. This is why it is a good thing that justice is carried out by those not personally involved...
I'm perfectly happy to engage in fair debate but not in mudslinging. (I'm female by the way so 'some man' as an insult doesn't really work)
I think your posts undermine your argument. I say that white people can be as violent as those from any other ethnic group and you mention stephen lawrence - killed by white people. Doesn't that support my point and undermine your view that only letting your daughters mix with white people will make them safe?
You then point out that Dennis Nielsen and Fred West were politically far apart whilst both carried out sadistic killings. As I said there are no simple answers as to who is safe and who isn't ...
mystress the girls were abducted & taken to a Hotel room where most of the assualt on them took place. They were then taken to the park.
Mowbry personally i'm amazed that after what these men have done you suggest that they should be made to work hard for the rest of their life. That's some punishment there.I'm pretty sure if you were a judge most criminals would love to have you hearing the case.
Yes, Lillabet - Stephen Lawrences' killers' racial origins and motives simply weren't mentioned were they - so clearly it does prove your point! Sorry, I didn't realise you were a woman! Now I undertand your commitment to "fair debate" - my reporting notwithstanding !
You let your daughtes mix with you want - and I'll do the same - but PC simply won't come in to it!
I note the victim's father suggested that she had "fallen in with the wrong crowd" - Lillabet/Didwot etc. do you want to contact him and ensure he wasn't implying anything "racist"?!??!? Lillabet, I'm sure you could report him to somebody or other if he was.
Stephen Lawrence's killer's weren't given descriptions because he was on his own when he was killed. The case we are discussing involves a girl who was attacked and has survived to give descriptions of the attackers.
Horst88 you're making a fool of yourself by trying to be quirky and near the knucle when you can't even justify your own, quite frankly pathetic, opinions.
I "fell in with a bad crowd" at 16 years old, I think everybody did! There is no sugestion whatsoever that the so-called 'bad crowd' were of a different race.
The impression I get from all the news I have seen on this case is that the girls knew their attackers. At no point have I heard that they were "abducted" as such and listening to the chief constable being interviewed suggested much the same to me.
My preferred method of punishment would be to tie them to a chair and let the parents in to the room and close the door. See what happens!
Ok I apologise, I studied the case in Sociology and have obviously forgotten about Dwayne Brookes. I don't mean to be specific, the point is it doesn't matter what colour you are as to whether you're more of a risk of being a sex attacker/ murderer.
And what am I not interested in?
Thanks for bringing your gracious and thought provoking opinions to this debate cruthinboy, without being in anyway way insulting.
