I know cash is short but this is taking things to the extremes in a bid to get your money back.

But to be serious, who would wish to live in London?

Clapham junction is lovely... I like going out around there.
Now Streatham, you may have good reason....post Jo Brand who was spot on.

Oh dear will I never learn, it seems like I have again touched one or two raw nerves, plus once again the obligatory anti Daily Mail reference has been made.

And is it is not I who is always accused of being touchy?
I'm touchy feely
jno

I shall remember that!
bendy buses gone JNO......thank the lord!!!
lol we've just got rid of the bendy buses in York too................
now that's not really news, bombs in London i mean, The IRA have had a good go, then the Muslim bombers, we should be used to it by now.

Oh dear whatever next the Guardian are also reporting on this rather trivial happening in London.

But are any of you 'Righties' complaining, of course not, I didn't think so, we will read anything.
i am amazed i wasn't in the vicinity this time, because i have been before. Years ago when the IRA to blow us to kingdom come, and not very far from Russell Square when the bus bomb went off. It's horrible, but what can you do. It may be news, but quite frankly Londoners just get on with things, that is how it's always been, and always will be.
i don't think it was all to do with wanting back his money, i think he had had enough, and he just lost it. Im sure he regrets his actions now though. He must have tried so hard to make ends meet, and in the end he failed again. Poor man.
em when I worked in telecomms we used to have a certain international bid manager who seemed a magnet for things going wrong. Wherever we sent him there would be bombs exploding, earthquakes, civil uprisings, all happening when he was there.
We sent him to Kuwait once................
craft, did he come back,
by the way did you work for a big company, only ask because i know some who worked for a telecoms group here
Yes em he did come back..................it was quite sad in the end, he died of a heart attack on the train going to London.
I worked for BT International (as it was then).
that is sad, all those dangerous trips and peg out with a heart attack.
can't say for my own reasons, but our paths may have crossed..
it's a small world..
Wouldn't surprise me em...................most of my colleagues were in London.
and mine.
AOG, how does one qualify to be a 'righty' ? (I'm hoping )What's your definition of one?

London is not like a small town; some areas are better than others and all differ. Is it that you would never live in a big city? Or has London got some features which mark it as particularly undesirable among cities ?
AOG - think the second report is more balanced than the Mail's sensationalist reporting. The incident was done and dusted in 45 minutes (source BBC London News) and yes there was some inconvenience to people in the vicinity but it's not a major event. And what has this got to do with 'living in London'. Could have happened anywhere. Whilst London may not appeal to you, a great many people live, work and socialise here. Yes there's rough areas as there are everywhere but given the size and the cosmopolitan make up of its population it is a pretty vibrant place with loads to do, see and admire. Stop pigeon-holeing people is my advice.
