Scottish Independance.

Oh I was about to contribute further on the topical question on Scotland's referendum on independence and there it was gone.
Anyone any idea why this question was removed?
But anyway I was going to congratulate our PM for managing to insist that the referendum should only contain a 'Yes' or 'No' vote, and we wasn't going to kow-tow to Scotland's request to provide further questions on the ballot paper such as proposing greater powers for the Scottish Parliament.
/// The deal agreed between the Government and the SNP means that the referendum will be held later than Mr Cameron had wanted but, crucially, will include only one question, on whether Scotland should become an independent country. ///
/// On the same programme, the party's Nicola Sturgeon said that many people in Scotland had wanted further questions on the ballot paper, proposing greater powers for the Scottish Parliament. ///

It is not racist to suggest that the English too should vote (along with Irish and Welsh) on whether the Scottish stay in the UK.
As I see it if Scottish get independance and they are not in the EU then they are not entitled to be in the UK without a visa. That is fact not racism.
Trust you buinch of PC lefties to get the wrtong end of the stick or is it the usual use the racist slur to stop and argument you dont like? Typiccal of Balri I see m to recall

I am one of those who would have voted for DevoMax, which would have given more powers to the Scottish Government without breaking up the union. However that's not on the table now, so the question is: do we try and go it alone or do we put up with that nasty vicious bunch in Westminster lording it over us for ever ( I think I'm talking myself into decision here).
Having read through all the posts and, dare I say, discarded the ill considered and the Scotophobic ones I offer some points. Gordon Brown and Tony Blair did not make complete @rses of themselves because they were Scottish. They did so because they were inept politicians.
As to separatism, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is not broken. Please do not let a glib megalomaniac and his henchwoman try to fix it.
To the parents/guardians/teachers/mentors of the present 14 and 15 year olds please instil into them the need for clear thinking and common sense before they cast a vote in two years time.

I would have thought it was obvious who should vote...People who live in Scotland!
There are road signs welcoming you to Scotland..or Alba as it's now known.
Went up to Edinburgh a few weeks ago and there's a huge one on the M6/M74...It's in Gaelic as well.
Those Welsh folks get everywhere.
They probably don't bother on the railway because the train is going too fast lol

If you cannot spell it how can you comment sensibly on it.
By the way, the SNP's position was always for a single question on Independence yes or no, but they were inviting other people to put alternative suppositions if they wished as part of their consultation.
Cameron could not win any competition in Scotland.
What an unholy alliance of Tories, Labour and Lib-Dems (if there are any left) who will be backing the no change position.
If that is the option - Independence or more of the same Tory garbage or even worse Labour tax and spend - then there is no contest.
