PRINCESS OF wALES??
Was it just me or did I hear , on the rolling news channel BBC, the reader refer to the 'arrival of the Prince and Princess of Wales.' yesterday.
About time too, I thought, and hope they won't be mealy mouthed about calling her Queen when the time comes...

I too was never a great fan of Saint Diana. Charles and camilla are much better suited to each other, and I, for one, WILL refer to her as Queen when the time comes. And for all those who that the succession should pass to Willam, this isn't some Hollywood production. Assuming Charles outlives his mother, then he will be King, whether peeps like it or not.

Thanks for replies, surely it is the rule that a wife takes her husband's titles, I have never heard of exemptions royal or otherwise. Yes I know that one can call oneself by any chosen name but I'm talking 'legal,' so why pussyfoot around it. I sympathise with expressions of distaste but what about an answer to the question.
I don't understand why people are so against it. I'm not that interested in the royals so have to admit it doesn't bother me in the slightest but I don't really see the problem, Charles had an affair, Diana had an affair... blah, blah, blah.... now Charles and Camila are married and seemingly happily so. If he is the king then quite rightly she is his queen.
They all carry on a bit though don't they. It is only because their adultery was such front line news that it seems wrong. The others have been divorced, except for Edward, but give it time, and Diana wasn't a complete innocent. Although, to be fair, she was at first. If she had died while married to Charles then her successor whether an adulteress or not would be Princess of Wales. And don't forget that Charles was to blame as well as Camilla, so does that mean no-one wants him as King or that he can't be king because he has committed adultery. I hardly think so, when I look at past kings.
P.S. Personally I don't care, but find the argument interesting.
