Nappy changing in public
I went out last night for a pint, ended up having ten, and after 2 hours sleep got the train home. I left the station, and walked through a shopping centre en route to my house. As I entered the building, immediately in front of me sat on a bench was a woman changing her child's nappy. The extreme heat only concentrated the acrid smell of fresh poo as it hit the back of my nose. This, coupled with a splitting hangover, made me feel so incredibly nauseous I almost vomited there and then.
There must surely be some law against doing that?

It's like people saying that showing your breast in public is wrong but its ok for papers to do it. No I'm not forcing my opinions on other there are more here that do it.
So your mother did and so did I with 4 of my own simply because going out with your baby getting hungry was not always possible. All day outings were out of the qustion because of prudish people.
You like to state your opinion and not be challenged. I believe it was you who thinks kissing in public should be banned as well.
It was the comments about banning breastfeeding that really got me. This country is so bl**dy pompous and embarrassed about something so natural... all this "no sex please, we're British" stuck up society makes me sick.
When I have my next child I am damned sure I will breastfeed in public.
Lighten up.
Whats your problem andy008. its only a baby and i imagine if you hadn't been worse for wear you wouldn't have even noticed. There is no law against changing a baby but i believe there is one for being drunk!! If you wanna go out and get p*ssed then you deserve what you get - hope you threw up loads when you got home. I have two children and i always tried to change them in the baby changing room but this is not always possible and you can't just ignore a baby.
cazz
PS people staggering around drunk are far more offensive than babies being changed.
I have to say that I am shocked, dissappointed and infuriated by some of the comments. I really didn't think that there would be so many people out there that had a problem with breastfeeding in public.
In the case of the woman changing a nappy on a public bench. Maybe she was being lazy and thoughtless, maybe there was changing facilities nearby that she could have used. But maybe there wasn't, maybe they were closed for cleaning or just so filthy that she couldn't bring herself to use them. We'll never know. But maybe I think we can all agree that we would prefer her to change her child in public rather than letting it run around for ages with a ****** nappy.
As for breastfeeding, I have to say that I do feel uncomfortable around it but that is because of the society that I have been brought up in. I don't think that just because I feel uncomfortable, breastfeeding women should have to feel ashamed of what they are doing. I think that a lot of women feel uncomfortable breastfeeding in public but they still go ahead and do it because they have to. I say they deserve a medal!! Breastfeeding is supposed to be the best for a child but society's attitude is contributing to less women actually doing it, which will have a detrimental effect on future generations. I say live and let live. Just because we feel a little uncomfortable with something doesn't mean it should be illegal.
I think you all need to face facts, we are all; human, naked under our clothes, we all pee, ****, fart, have sex (hopefully), love, hate, live and die. and sometimes we make a mistake.
