Scotland....independence..
If they do leave the UK and the EU will they start issuing their own currency? Will there be border controls? Their own military etc? Have the SNP etc issued any docs on how it's going to work? Presumably all the Westminster seats in Scotland will be disolved. This is a serious question on how it's going to work not a debate on indepemdence itself, thanks.

Amendment/Apology
Technically the Euro is not yet legal tender. The 'Banknotes and Currency ammendment Bill 2010-12' which was supposed to make this law, ran out of time and so did not get Royal Assent. I assume they will try again.

OK, to answer the hypothetical part, yes the seats at Westminster held by Scottish MPs would be discontinued giving the Conservative Party a guaranteed huge majority in the rest of the UK, at every General Election. This oyld allow them to ruin the country more quickly.
There is very little point having a debate on how it will work because we all know it will not work.

There is very little advantage in the United Kingdom anymore.Scotland only joined because they had run out of money trying to take Panama into its Empire. That has long since ceased to matter. Saying that, it has worked exceedingly well for everyone involved. The saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" would seem to apply. Though some tinkering like a devolved Parliament make sense.
