Well here is another minority view. This site is primarily a 'Left-Wing' site with strong political correct liberal views, and anyone who does not agree with their views are generally labelled Racist, Fascist, etc. so it is not at all surprising at the answers you have received, But then this has already been highlighted by such comments to you as: "If you...

Fox is available but it's very US-oriented so not much watched in the UK. The main news source is probably the BBC (radio, TV and online), with other channels having news coverage too, particularly Sky. Some people watch CNN and Al Jazeera, but not that many. Plus lots of daily newspapers. Most of these sources, however biased they may be about local news and politics, are fairly middle-of-the-road when they cover foreign news, including the USA.

I hate the way he is trying to inflict a welfare dependent state on the USA. Give a man a welfare cheque and he will vote Democrat for the rest of his life - he appeals to the work-shy. I also dislike what comes across to me as his fake humility. I dislike the way Michelle Obama acts as if the world owes her holiday after expensive holiday ... and I was utterly confounded, bewildered and disgusted that he was awarded a Nobel Prize for ______ please fill in the blank space.
I think the reason that Obama has so much UK support is not that he's actually that great but that he's more like a UK citizen than the opposing candidates and we are therefore more comfortable with that. It really grates on the English by and large (and the Irish) all this holier than thou, 'in God we trust', home baking, hockey momming, gun toting, good ol fashioned, God fearing, pulpit bashing, right wing, anti rights, anti abortion, anti choice, commie hating, eco flattening, middle class white guyness whose family is in banking/law/the senate already/oil/big business/other shady and dubious dealings ( delete as applicable) and who appear, smug and perfectly coiffed, smilingly ready to trample on the poor, badly educated or otherwise downtrodden, telling them how America is the land of dreams and it's their own flaming fault if they live on the street in a box etc and if you happen to get sick well tough- die then.
None of that is natural to Europeans- we generally have a more tolerant, socialist outlook on things and the British in particularly love and are (rightly) proud of their NHS. Obama has made a leap of faith and is trying to improve healthcare particularly for the poor and disadvantaged and naturally we applaud that and find it hard to conceive how anyone could stand against it.
Obama is not great, but he's a million percent better than any Republican candidate imho.
Don't take this personally I actually quite like most Americans ;-)

The OP is plainly no fan of Obama so not surprising that he chose the right-wing rant as Best Answer. AB is not necessarily always the most reliable guide to opinion but I think in this case he will have gained the correct impression that for a variety of reasons most people in the UK have no issues with Obama or actually like him. And I'd be on the latter list also.
