He's British..I'll tell him you think he's lazy and has a poor work ethic.
I've only worked since 1984 due to having to go to school before that..I suppose I'm the lazy British worker you talk about having only served 29 years.

237. i was referring to not sending 14 years old down the mines, or working in mind killing industry. If some choose not to work, then why are they not targeted by government agencies, i mean they can chase you for a penny over payment in benefits, if they know that there are three adults all working age, then why don't they shut off their benefits and tell them to all get jobs. Imagine the outcry if that happened. The Labour party would be the first to say hold your horses, you can't do that.
some people take it as fact though, as opposed to a generalisation.
The British people i have worked with down the years were rarely lazy,
one or two here and there, but that is human nature. Most were hard working individuals who were responsible, with as hard a work ethic as any, so it's why it is difficult to see such criticism without responding in kind.

Anybody who thinks many of these immigrants aren't here to fleece our welfare system is naive to say the least..Open your eyes.

Mighty WBA. Read what I have said properly. I haven't said that all Brits are lazy. Have you read through the whole thread I wonder or are you picking up on what others have said. I am not surprised about your other half's work ethics. He is of the generation were work ethics were good.
Thank you ummmm and Pasta. At least you have some intelligence to see what I am saying and haven't taken things so personally. But it's like flogging a dead horse on here where people don't even bother
Em, if you read things into my posts that aren't there and take things personally, then it is your problem, not the problems of my posts where I continually say that we have a 'recognised' poor work culture in this country. We didn't use to have.
And I have never said that Eastern Europeans are supermen or even inferred it.

It is ridiculous that we should have to put up with more. It's time the borders were closed. Our public services are third rate now, not enough hospital beds, decently trained staff, everything is stretched to accommodate the immigrants we already have. Building on green belt is not on. Not enough thought was given to our situation before the mass influx thanks to Tony Blair and Brown. Imo they should be put up against the wall and shot.
I have looked back through everyone of my posts and in no posting have I said that all British people are lazy. I have continuously talked about our deteriorated work culture, which I still believe has been caused by Benefits being another alternative to living and something to fall back on quite easily, which is not the original intention of benefits.
