If you saw the BBC news tonight, there was a photo of the police superintendent at the press conference looking at the mother and father at the press conference, where they 'appealed for witnesses'.

The look on his face as the father produced his fake tears is one of the best pictures I've seen all year.

I have slept on this overnight and I have come to the conclusion that those children should have been taken into care a long time ago. If they had they would all be alive today.

Philpott was a immoral drug taking philanderer. What kind of person would take turns in who he was going to sleep with each evening, and what kind of example was that to give young impressionable kids ? Who knows what other kind of immorality was going on in that house, and caravan.

Society should shoulder a lot of the blame for this dreadful affair, with Jeremy Kyle, Widdecombe and ITV using him as entertainment. Watching the Kyle show, especially the one where he appeared, is akin to taking posh people for tours around the lunatic asylums that happened in Victorian times.

what is amazing is that he got seven years for almost killing his girlfriend and her mum, how long did he serve i wonder. The jury of course weren't told about that i suppose not to prejudice the case, the more you read the more you realise what a truly despicable person he is.

The maximum sentence is 'Life', the diffrence between murder and manslaughter is that for manslaughter a life sentence is an option where in murder it is compulsory.
These cretins will go down for a long time.
When the sentence is given remember that the judge is compelled to give a 'review date' this is NOT a release date . It is the ealiest possible date that a review of sentence could be made. The newspapers will inevitably report the review date as if he will get out then just to stir things up a bit more. From what I have read and seen of this guy he at least will never be considered suitable for release so he will never get out. Not sure about the woman she is more incredibly stupid and gullible than evil. She may get out in 10 years or so.

em10 they will have to keep him in solitary. The rest of the inmates will be out to get him , he will have a terrible time in jail . The warders will 'accidently' leave him where the others can get him so he gets slashed or stabbed. One favorite prison punishment for people like him is to boil up a mixture of water and sugar the pour it over his face. The sugar makes it stick so it doesn't run off and makes the burns much worse and more panfull . Razor blades and broken glass in his food is something more he can look forward to.
