Surely the unions themselves begat the need for someone like MrsT to take action. If not her then it would have been necessary for someone else to sort the problem. So perhaps they should reserve their death partys for the likes of Scargill and Red Robbo, they wrecked the country.

but you can probably save your typing fingers by cutting and pasting your favourite posts from earlier threads
Has any workers got rights within his /her work place?

Can you stand up and say this is not safe & still keep your job?

Unions was started to help you against Bully boy tactics by employers.

Unions, if they were run right DID help the Employee / Employer.

How many now are afraid to say anything regards their work place now?

Ask the nurses, your rights have gone Danger, make no mistake about that.

Why Is Maggie The Hate Victim?

She caused it, she instigated it, She destroyed thousands, she made people rich.

Why Is Maggie The Hate Victim?

I am always up for a party, Yorkie, the more tasteless the better :)
Question Author
the point I've made several times though LG is that most of that hatred is manufactured by those whose noses she put out of joint.
TWR, if she made people rich, weren't you one of them.
Question Author
I've never needed a union TWR.
Well you were not making a point in your OP Danger - you were asking a question.

And it is a question that has been answered. She was a towering political figure whose legacy lives on, and it has effected and impacted upon thousands of lives - whole communities. especially outside of the south east of england. Hence the rather tasteless celebration over her death.

Scargill and Red Robbo were relative pygmies in comparison.

I think Maggie would have secretly been pleased that she could still inspire such dislike - should would then probably go out and express disgust, and swing a handbag though :)
i admired her, she stood up for what she believed in, i don't understand the hatred one has witnessed on tv or in the papers, but the old girl is gone now, so some should come down off their high horses and get on with their lives.
I would agree that Em that those on riding on their high horses of indignation and apoplexy should get down off them and shrug it off, rather than shrill calls for sackings.

You admired her - fine. Many people hated her and what she represented, too. This is a democracy, and if they wish to celebrate the passing of such a divisive individual, thats legal - tasteless, maybe, but legal, and certainly not grounds for sacking or whatever. Thats a far more worrying issue..
well hope their respective educational establishments see it that way. I suspect that some won't like what they see, but won't do more about it.
a quid is riding on this remember,
She was supported by more people than those that hated her otherwise she would not have been elected 3 times.
But the lefties will overlook that rather inconvenient fact.

What happened to Red Robbo? did he also manage to cream off loads from the working man like Scargill?
People don't use the word "begat" enough IMHO
Scargill and Red Robbo are and were political pymies in comparison to what Thatcher was able to achieve, and the legacy of Thatcherism that continues to this day.

But go ahead and organise a death party for Scargill if it makes you feel any better...
DangerUXD - have you offered your illogical thinking and writing skills in an effort to resurrect Only Fools and Horses?
I think Maggie would secretly enjoy all of this hate. And say that it is better for a politician to be hated than forgotten. John Major springs to mind - just about.
Well you could have a party when Nelson Mandela dies as I know you think he's a terrorist.

I think you might find the party's a bit short on other attendees though
She's the architect of her own loathing.
