Why Can't People Manage On £500 Per Week?
So - the Cap on Benefits will commence, along with a chorus of moaning minnies who say they can't possibly manage and will have to cut down on food and heating -so bloody what!!! If two working people had the misfortune of one of them losing their job they would have to cut down until things got better - your weekly cheque is a benefit For Funks Sake not a wage - Some WORKING couples barely clear £500 after off takes -this makes my blood boil -people these days are like spoilt children when they get their sweeties taken away - Quote from one moaning minnie this a.m. on TV '' I've tried to get work in the past but for me its not an option'' -then suck it up madam- if you want the State to provide for you then cut down and budget like the working families have to.

I wouldn't call you Maggiethatcher so please have the good manners to call me by my chosen user name. It's common politeness, and the word Sharingan is not from a role playing game, it's from the Manga Naruto, it's a form of all seeing eye. Age ought not to be an excuse for being rude.
Em, if they stopped subsidising the rent of the low paid one of two things would happen.
Wages would have to rise to realistic levels.
Landlords would have to charge realistic rents.
At the moment we're subsidising the wealthy with cheap cleaners etc.
We're making a lot of landlords extremely wealthy.

"Your name is not Sharingan that is your user name -which comes from role playing games -one such being the role playing game NOX"

Seriously, you two, shut up. Not sure about anyone else, but having to read this on every single thread that the both of you are on is, quite frankly, doing my head in.
Wages need to increase, it's as simple as that. Something is seriously wrong when people are "better off" staying at home on benefits than going to work.
I'm not sure what benefits they're on though because since I lost my job, the money I am 'entitled' to is shockingly bad. Certainly not £500 a week, that's for sure!
I agree that rental prices are ridiculously high, but that's all down to the banks. People have this misconception of landlords being wealthy, but the majority of them are just scraping by and are up to their eyes in debt with massive mortgages.

Sharingan, I think your view may be a bit blinkered on that.
People work in London because that's where the work is. I know plenty of people who work in London and either have to live in shared accommodation just to make ends meet or have no choice but to live out of town and spend huge amounts of money commuting every day.

you haven't been reading anything from me recently as I've been suspended for nearly 2 weeks -no one is forcing you to read anything - .
