Edl Tribute Marches To Lee Rigby
These have been going on up and down the country this weekend despite various 'anti'facist' groups trying to stir things up. It seems to me that if you are against these tribute marches by the EDL then you must be in support of the murderers.

Irrational beliefs that cause someone to murder would certainly, under normal circumstances, be seen by us as evidence of mental illness – but these are not normal circumstances. This is religion – and we are all expected to respect religion - so who is going to tell them – and the God(?) knows how many more Muslims - that the Koran and the hadith are wrong? Justification for what they do is there in black and white.
//few would be minded to murder a doctor who conducts abortions, however much the doctrine [Catholicism] is against abortion.//
You’re making the same mistake that all apologists make. You are overlooking the fact that the bible is open to interpretation by its various adherents - without penalty. Islamic literature is not - and therefore bears no comparison to the bible. The Koran is the word of God, and the hadith, the pronouncements of the prophet Mohammed is, like him personally, and the Koran, infallible. Islam cannot be compared to any other religion because it is not simply a religion – it is a complete way of life – with rules dealing with every aspect of life – even to using the lavatory. Here we are dealing with a completely different mindset – and that’s what people fail consistently to recognise. It is a great mistake to assume that Islamists are possessed of the rational intellect and the freedom of thought and deed enjoyed by a western society. They are not. For them, the word of the Koran, and of Mohammed, are unalterable - and beyond criticism under any circumstances.

In this video, we can see dozens and dozens of photographs of EDL members giving Nazi salutes, and even a group in Swansea (so technically WDL) burning an anti-Nazi flag:
There's also the photograph featured in this Daily Mail article (sorry I couldn't find it elsewhere), showing a group of EDL Members quite blatantly intimidating a muslim woman on a train in Manchester:

In Leicester, the EDL were found guilty of criminal damage and there have been plenty of such instances since:

The driving force of the EDL is thuggery. It's also attracted some more misguided people in recent weeks (including a close relative of mine) who are understandably angry. I, however, am not willing to give any support whatsoever to an organisation which at heart is so deeply unpleasant.

All I can see is that you said 'The EDL haven't murdered anybody'

/really Zeuhl not bothered who is or is not impressed, not out to impress or otherwise !! /
apparently not bothered about reading posts properly either
there is a difference in trying to 'impress' someone personally, and /impressing them with the strength of your argument/
The former may well be immaterial but on a forum exchanging ideas and opinions the latter is usually an objective.
Still, failing in both regards at least shows consistency

"Anyone with a different opinion is castigated, but like I said and will say one last time - I DON'T CARE !!!! "
Then you don't care about truth.
You don't care whether your opinions are backed by evidence. You don't care about whether they stand up to scrutiny or not. You just care about feeling like you're right without any respect whatsoever for whether that is actually true or not.
How depressing.
