It seems rather sinister to me that private mail is intercepted and read by a third party. Does this happen for all 11 year olds mail? Was this girl singled out? What were the teachers hoping to find? It seems grossly over the top if it was to catch children eating sweets. I also believe banning an 11 year old from eating chocolate on holiday is extremely strict. If...
just jude , sorry but you are almost unbelievably naive. Newspapers print lies every day . Papers such as the Sun ,Daily Mail, Express are the worst culprits you can believe very little of what they say.
Jude, are you sure about that? And how is she going to put right that injustice? Will financial compensation solve the problem of her daughter's mental anguish, do you think?
The Sun go out of business if it started telling lies?? If only if only. Does it take a half wit to believe a half truth I wonder??
There does seem to be less to this than meets the eye.
Naomi, she will need assessing by experts, that will cost money. She will have negative vibes about the teaching profession for the rest of her life.
Boxtops, they're not all biased, the Sun is just helping this ordinary family to try and get some justice. The young girl has now stopped eating due to the stress, this could lead to more serious problems.
Jude, //she will need assessing by experts, that will cost money. She will have negative vibes about the teaching profession for the rest of her life.//
If "She will have negative vibes about the teaching profession for the rest of her life", it sounds to me that she's already been assessed by experts. Where are you getting this from?
Eating it in the hotel bedrooms is against one of the rules, only bottled water was allowed. By all accounts parents and pupils were asked to sign a behaviour charter before the trip it, and was said that the girl had misbehaved the day before. If a rule was broken parents would be asked to take their child home for infringing rules. It is a bit much to ask a parent to collect their child immediately leaving her no option but to do so. Heavy handed imo.
