But first he will take a year off to contemplate which charities to lend his backing to.

/// The palace said he currently has a particular interest in the preservation of endangered species. /// Mmmmmmm.

/// William and his young family are reportedly sad to leave Anglesey ///

I wouldn't have thought that the baby would even know that he was in Anglesey, never mind being sad to leave it.

If you want to have a go at the royals just come out and do it instead of pussyfooting around.
Ditto
Move along folks, nothing to see here.

maggiebee, would you mind going back and having a look at the Scottish Culture thread please?

LOL
Shades of the prison-house begin to close upon the growing prince.
what a lot of money wasted on training him, just to leave after a few years in 'the job', maybe he could be a house husband and ''the wife'' could go out to work ?
He could always renounce his place in the line of succession and go and fly helicopters in the North Sea.
This was always on the cards, he is a Royal and would always be expected to join 'the firm'.
sandy, indeed he could, and id applaud him for doing so.
Anybody, young or old, would be only too pleased to leave Anglesey.

I had the misfortune to stay at RAF Valley for a short time many years ago. Whilst I was made very welcome by the Station staff (as I always was when staying on RAF stations) the place itself defies description. If ever a place was ripe for "fracking" because of its desolation, Anglesey beats the North West and the North East hands down.
I too am slightly mystified at this snipe at the royals, normally it's the sort of thing I'd expect from the anti British, right on liberal brigade on this site. However I think even they would have more of a solid go than using the awareness of Prince George as a driver for this. Sorry if I've missed something here AOG.

Mmmmm?

Are you licking your lips at the thought of panda-burgers?
Blimey NJ, I don't share your view of Anglesey. I love it there!
Hi,

Whilst I don't normally contribute on the news threads, I would have thought the fact that the government and MOD plan to privatise SAR may have some bearing on Prince William's decision.
//Prince William To Leave The Raf To Become A 'full Time Royal'.//

Bit of an oxymoron methinks.
This is a non story, children are being gassed in Syria, Sod William and his young family, I want to save a starving child, not a silver spoon fed child ,like Prince George ,who will be looked after for the rest of his life ,with tax payers money.
you see AOG, hawksey has shown the way!

it's the norm for recruits to join for between 6 and 12 years now, my husband joined for 3 in 70 and then resigned for an extra 9
Full time royal eh ?
It's alright for some.
