Morrison's Supermaket Offends A Muslim Customer

I would be very careful to feed my children anything that had been reduced from 85p to 19p.

But as the father said mistakes do happen

But what seemed to be the straw that broke the camels back was the fact that he was offered a bottle of Champagne as compensation, since Muslims don't drink????????

But anyway the manager didn't say her had to drink it, he could have sold it on.

But he was lucky to be offered any kind of compensation from Morrisons because on numerous occasions I have been charged incorrect prices on goods that have been labelled half price or buy one get one free etc,

Was I offered compensation for having to drive back to the store to obtain a refund? No instead I was forced to queue at customer services and then take part in cross questioning, then wait while a store worker checked out the offer on the self, before finally receiving the balance of cash back.

Surely Mr Khan there must be plenty of Muslim shops who would be sure to serve you and your family with Muslim acceptable food, but I don't know about being given a 66p discount on a 85p item.

AOG, yes I see your point - but most shopkeepers stock what people want to buy. If I had a general store, I guess I'd stock spirits if that's what people wanted, although I don't touch them myself.

I find his attitude offensive. I want him to give me compensation.

I once did only to be told that the offer was now out of date, and there was no way I could prove that it wasn't when I purchased it.

I could write a book the times that cut price stock has all been sold off the selves only to be replaced by slightly different produce but they have failed to remove the offer label.

Or that the labelled offer is for say 240g cans but on display are full price 320g cans.

Tins of soup 5 for £3 and in very small print on the ticket at floor level, excludes Cream of Tomato soup.

Morrison's own brand Mincemeat all sold, and then replaced by the more expensive Morrison's luxury mincemeat, with the cheaper priced one ticket still on display.

Wise advice, always check your till receipt.

^ sorry Bazile, that's to you not AOG..... and the shopkeeper doesn't necessarily exhort other Muslims to buy things like bacon, they stock for the rest of the population.

AOG - i don;t like it when they display something as being on offer - coffee at x amount but if you check the weights/prices its often cheaper to buy the same product but the one thats not of offer, i see this a lot with the eco packing,

This man's "fury" is a gross insult to my deeply held faith in the seven deadly sins.

He has grossly offended my culture and beliefs by his demonstration of fury.

I am offended.

Yes , but as far as i am aware you dont think that partaking of spirits is going to be detrimental to your soul / spirit .
Unlike people of muslim faith , who are in effect assisting people to partake in something , that will so do

I agree that some people seek out opportunities to be offended, and this may have happened here, since I'd have thought going to the press should be a list resort..... but the paper almost certainly used the word FURY- it's a word the papers love because it's short and snappy and sounds far more exciting than 'a little disappointed'
