Why Are We Appeasing The Sweaties?
84 Answers
If they are going to be "independent" next year why do we let them have the ship building up there to the detriment of Portsmouth? Surely its a result for the UK they Leave the UK & EU so why bother giving them a bauble? Many have been saying it's political but I can't see how it can be, it must be some sort of commercial decision.

//Mockney (a portmanteau of "mock" and "Cockney") is an affected accent and form of speech in imitation of Cockney or working class London speech, or a person with such an accent. A stereotypical Mockney speaker comes from an upper-middle class background.[1]//
//It is an affectation sometimes adopted for aesthetic or theatric purposes, other times just to sound “cool”,//

( I think it's rather funny actually - a bit like a 14 year old in a liberal familly looking for attention :c) )

And here comes the art of the right-on leftie.
Nothing to say so insult the OP.
Just out of interest, how do you know TTT does not come from the workign classes of London?
My wife does and so have some of my friends. They use these terms,it is how they were bought up, surely it is their ethnic right to be able to do so without insult from the like of you?
The problem on this site with many of you is that you think you are so aloof and you are so self righteous with it, very few of you know the real world and yet you feel the need to put everyone down who does not fit into yours.

I'm sure Tora is kosher. But you do, for amusement, sometimes invent new rhyming slang on the hoof, don't you Tora ? I worked in East London courts all my career and never heard some of his latest contributions
That said, there has been a fashion to invent new slang based on the old rhyming slang. These words never get far beyond the immediate circle of the speaker or they prove transitory: Lionel for 'hair' is one such; and there are sites where such neologisms can be suggested by others. The old rhyming slang has remarkable longevity. Nobody other than a racing historian knows who Tod Sloan was; an American jockey who had success in England, and who introduced the 'monkey on a stick' style of riding 'short', now used everywhere; but "on your tod" for 'alone' is still current.

Like all languages, it evolves to include new terms, often for old things that once had a different rhyme partner. Sometimes one term can mean several different things depending on context.
Anyway, let me cheftain you all from the bottom of my April for having a butchers at this holy ghost. I'm off up the kermit for a cuppa rosie.
