I think you are a secret Tory. It's time to come out of the closet
you do seem to have a bit a chip on your shoulder about Tory politicians. Some people vote for them you know, that's how they get elected. Still you havn't knocked Hague since Sept. If this is the worse criticism you can come up with then he must be doing ok!

Factor Fiction,At Last My Cover Has Been Blown,I now award you the CDM,cheers.

some people vote for LibDems, that's how Tories get into power. But Hague does look rather like a Churchill Mini-Me, doesn't he.
Can't see it myself.
And I thought that Karl Marx and Gromit were his role models........
Whose? Hawksley's - or Hague's? ;o)
There are some similarities. Both are slapheads and Hague's ability to down 14 pints of beer while working as a drayman would have impressed Winston, who was no mean drinker.
Gromit will take exception at that, sandy..........
OK. It was presumptuous to call him, Winston. Churchill, then.
Just give him a Cuban (woman or cigar) and he should be happy.....
recently took grandsons to a military vehicle 40's type charity thing, saw a man dressed as Churchill , took a photo, both boys ( 8 and 12) did not have a clue, much like Hague.
I think youngsters are more likely to associate Churchill with the dog in the car insurance advert. Winston must seem as remote to them as Haig or Kitchener do to most of us.
Churchill was only great when he came to power in the second world war when he was 65.

If he had died a say 63 he would have been seen as a rather failed politician.
Very true VHG, and I doubt Hague wants to be like Churchill who, outside of wartime, didnt do too well.

But then the post is simply a dig at the Tories by a commie.
Your right there YMB!

For someone who lived such a long and eventful life it's remarkable that his reputation can be so focused on 5 years!
not so remarkable, jake - who knows what Callaghan or Campbell-Bannerman or Pitt the Elder did with the other 90% of their lives? That's just how it is with national leaders, and more so during wars. The rest of us have to cope with a full 100% of our lives unremembered.
