It is a great headline but very misleading. All but a very tiny amount of those would have been unknown to the browser user, spam, bots or popups.

300,000 attempts divided by 365 days = 822 attempts a day.

The Houses of Parliament gets ay least 2500 visitors a day. So the number is actually exceedingly small.

Harriet Harmans husband is an MP.

On his twitter account, which has nothing to do with parliament, and is probably on his phone which he roams everywhere, he made a gay porn site a favourite. The gay porn site was not illegal, but the subject could be deemed embarrassing.

A bit of a none story. Someone who most people have not heard of adds a favourite to twitter, which he later says is a mistake. One for the Daily Mail fan club only.
