I'm still on Team Nigella, and feel that this trial has all been about her, rather that the actual accused.

The sisters are planning to sell their story.
What is sad about this is the close frienships lost (more than likely forever) and revealed betrayal. The children must have been close to these sisters too and vica versa. Elizabetta does seem to be the most distraught in all this but I can imagine Nigella is suffering more. If Mr S does not care about Nigella, never mind love her.
A few life lessons all in one go but this experience must affect trust.

I don`t know why there are outpourings of sympathy for Nigella Lawson. There are a lot of people who are a lot worse off than her. It sounds like the two assistants deserved a medal for working for those two. Yes, she has had a hard time but so have a lot of other people (without the buffer of money and turning to illegal drugs). Maybe it`s because she`s beautiful. My guess is that if she had a face like the back end of a bus, there would only have been half the media coverage.
Interesting article in the Guardian today on this case, pointing out that, the way english law ( and for all I know european law and american law) does not allow for the reputational defence of witnesses. So there was no one able to challenge the assertions and allegations made over drug taking or allowing kids to take drugs, and that this indeed amounted to a character assassination.
This does seem unfair to me.
