Why is it that whenever QT visits Scotland almost the entire programme is devoted to solely Scottish matters. There was a programme a few months ago which concentrated almost exclusively on Scottish Independence. Now, having been watching it for twenty minutes, the Dundee edition is heading the same way.

Programmes from England usually cover general issues of interest to the entire UK. The Scots make up only about 5% of the UK population. For the other 95% the Scottish issue is of little interest and something over which they have no control. Is it time for a separate QT for the minority components where they can prattle on to their hearts' content about matters of no interest to anybody else?

// mikey4444 The forthcoming vote on Scottish independence is probably the most important constitutional issue to face Great Britain in a long while.// I cannot for the life of me understand what on earth is happening to our intelligence, we amalgamate & join forces with foreign countries who for years tried to dominate us & who have won in the end ( dictating...

Yes, after more than 50% of the programme.
NJ, you could change over to channel 5 :) not a scot in sight . :)

And another thing!

Why do they only have Scots on the panel? When the programme comes from England there are Scots, Welsh, Irish, Americans and all sorts. But in Scotland, non-Scots need not apply.
Irony is that some Scottish people were complaining about having to wait until the show comes to Scotland before any Scots-related issues are talked about at all. You can't win, eh?
have they painted their faces blue judge?
that is not really accurate. ive often watched QT from Scotland and the majority of the panel are English.
But the studio audience must have been almost entire Scottish.
Maybe TTT they do punch above their weight in the whining dept. but normally with good reason.

Also by and large their spelling is better than that of Sassenachs, vide your posting. ;0
TTT do you mean whining or winning?? World of difference between the two words, but your effort doesn't exist. Question time coming from my home town so probably only natural that they would be discussing Scottish issues. If anyone has a problem with that then there are probably at least another 100 channels on your TV you could be watching. I am very interested in what's being discussed - far more than the usual prattle.
I think your post maggie, has amply demostrated that I meant whining!
Another spelling Boo Boo TTT.
maybe TTT would have benefitted from a Scottish education ? :)

"...ive often watched QT from Scotland and the majority of the panel are English. "

The last two from Scotland comprised entirely Scottish panel members. The first of those two debated nothing but Independence. This one spent more than the first 50% on the same question (and has just reverted to it for the final five minutes). I don't recall there being only Essex boys and girls on it when it came from Basildon and they did discuss matters other than the Southend pier.
think about it,,,, when QT has come from England, have there ever been Scottish people on the panel ?
Michty me! The beak's got a bee in his bunnet! :)
"demostrated" TTT - tut tut. I rest my case.
'' this week '' is on now....................and not a scot/Scottish matter to be seen. ( except Andrew neill )
so my keyboard is knackered!
