Britain's most eminent cross-dresser turns up for a Palace investiture in a suitable outfit that matched his prominence as thus. Thankfully we have such people, who have the courage to follow their convictions so what he wore doubtless didn't come as any shock to Charles.

Well - some division of beliefs and comments on here - quite illuminating (despite the intervention a page of chat....) - interesting to see who feels what on this topic, from the traditionalists to the more open-minded.

Chilldoubt's final post says it all for me!
Prudie wrote......'I expect the palace reported it entirely appropriate because they wouldn't dare say anything else.'

Exactly.......instead of saying what they and the rest of us normal folk actually thought
That or maybe they actually did think it entirely appropriate? And why should it be normal to be intolerant?
why wouldn't the queen dare say anything else? She's perfectly capable of saying "I had no objection." That's different from saying it was "entirely appropriate".

JL, if the responses on here are anything to go by, not all of think he's off his head.
Joe, if you are in the normal "camp" and Perry is not because of the way he dressed for the investiture then I thank god I'm not in the normal "camp" either.
Such intolerance would be impossible to live with for me.
Thank goodness I'm not normal!
