Britain's most eminent cross-dresser turns up for a Palace investiture in a suitable outfit that matched his prominence as thus. Thankfully we have such people, who have the courage to follow their convictions so what he wore doubtless didn't come as any shock to Charles.
You don't see Queenie or Prince Flipflop dressing up in regimental uniforms for events like this, Queenie just wears a Nice Frock. Perhaps Charles didn't want to be outdone :-)
I love his work so I was more than pleased to see him receive an award for it and the outfit?......Not surprised that he remains consistent in his beliefs ....he's a lovely guy....☺
Love him and his work too. I can't see what all the fuss is about he dressed up smart to go to the palace just like most people do. Would it be considered as news worthy if a woman turned up in trousers.
Boxy...I agree with JL......traditions, etiquette and acceptable behaviour seem to be a thing of the past, but there are still a few people who value their existence.
I for one and JL for another.
Surely, this Perry fellow could at least dress in a more conventional manner on this special occasion, just for perhaps two hours.
