Is This Not A Disgusting Headline?
28 Answers
I am known for my liking and in some cases support for the Daily Mail website, when it is unduly criticised by some.
But I feel that I must also criticise the said paper for this disgusting headline.
/// 'Rottweiler' Trierweiler leaves with her tail between her legs: Humiliated French First Lady leaves her taxpayer-funded home after being dumped by Hollande (but still gets armed escort ///
Whatever one's feelings about this case, I don't think many will agree that she is the one to criticise and mock.

Trierweiler is a german district and the word looks similar to rottweiler so the they have appended her name for no other good reason than it is a word we know for a dog.
That lets them use the pun, leaving 'with her tail between her legs'. Probably a totally inaccurate description of her leaving. It looks like she is well shut of him.
The armed escort bit is again used to shine her in an unsympathetic light.
Why would the DM take this line? Is it simply ingrained sexism at the paper?

AOG...One never knows what goes on behind the "locked doors" of marriage. But yes, on the face of it, the press report does seem harsh.
sqad - erm they aren't married
He is, I mean, but not to her - nor to his other mistress
he is, of course, married to his wife ( as is the custom even in France ) whom we neva hear about
