Apologies Andy, it will teach me to read more carefully.
"The families of the men killed on Bloody Sunday in Derry know that they'll never see justice."
They are more likely to see justice than the families of victims of the Hyde Park atrocity ever will.

(Incidentally, very generous budget. £444k per suspect, £4k per witness)
So the soldiers involved in Bloody Sunday continue to face an uncertain future. Meanwhile Mr. Downey walks smirking from court with his Get-Out-of-Jail-Free letter safely tucked in his pocket. He and 186 others can go about their business without fear of interruption from anything so inconvenient as a criminal investigation and possible serious charges resulting from their behaviour. No £4m budget for that.
This entire business is an utter disgrace. No “amnesty” letters have been sent to Loyalist suspects (or members of the military). Conversely 187 have been sent to Republican suspects, including 38 since the last General Election, the last being sent as recently as 2012. The entire “agreement” comprises a massive appeasement exercise to violent republicans who have learnt (as have probably other such groups) that if you create enough mayhem and murder enough people you will eventually get your way (with a few positions in government for former paramilitary leaders, natch) even though your view is held by only a third of the population.
