Euro elections are just a chance to check the political parties' standings in a real-vote situation, as opposed to opinion polls. However, your vote is a waste of time.#
Do we even get to hear, in advance, what new law is being proposed? Do the MEPs let us know, do the Media? In contrast, if Cameron or Salmond is planning any little tweak to current legislation, the media get wind of it and the opposition parties squeal.
But with Brussels you just find that ... "you can't do that (any more), it's against a new EU Law". And that's it, done and dusted forever. No democratic scrutiny.
