What is this country coming to when everyone has to think if certain actions may cause offence?

Should all newspapers of any particular political association, be burnt because in their past they may have reported unwisely on an event on which they reported many years ago?

Monkies is a perfectly acceptable spelling for the plural of monkey......

You have absolutely no idea of how well acquainted I am with any Sun journalists, AOG.

Tin-hats, that's just soooooo 1950's
I thought you were a moderator?
///Perhaps jackthehat should read anything, even if it was wrote by trained monkeys or not, so as to further educate herself? ///

It should be 'written' and not 'wrote'.

People who live in glasshouses, and all that, AOG.......LoL
I once spent an uncomfortable evening in a pub watching an Ingerlund game with a Scottish friend of mine on one side and (I am not sure happened) a couple of ex-Sun journalists on the other. This pair lived up to the - previously thought possibly unfair - stereotype one might have of such people. They spent much of the game boasting in quite loud voices how wonderful it was working for the paper and asking my Scottish friend how the "Sweaties" had got on in the earlier game. Utterly obnoxious specimens. I can only assume the Sun is a playground for such people
I received two actually AOG, but only because neither me nor OH are interested in football, I put them both in the recycling bin. Didn't feel in the least offended to receive them.

jackthehat /// Monkies is a perfectly acceptable spelling for the plural of monkey///

it ain't.
svejk - It is.

Thankyou for your valuable contributions to this thread....
it ain't
According to the Oxford Dictionary it ain't !
if you'd like an opinion on the op. some people need to grow up and get a life. why would anyone care what free paper came through the door.
Baldric - LoL.....

Correcting someone's spelling simply shows a paucity of thought with regard to the original points raised.

Chambers are none too keen on it either.

Well, that's me damned then!
;-)
monkies & education were mentioned in the same sentence. nowt to do with spelling police(I left school at 12) just found it funny.
I chewed out my OH because I thought he'd bought it.
I looked at my copy, I felt sorry for the postman having to lug that drivel about and stuff it through letterboxes.

The only thing I remember about it was the quotation that in a poll of "all things English", No. 1 was that England invented vaccines. Yeah, like Fleming wasn't a SCOT.....
^...and nibble being a Scotsman, I must point out that the above post was from me, not him....

You just gotta stop impersonating your OH Boxy!
