If only he'd talked to someone. They might have said, 'Think of all the joy and fun you've brought to people through your work, and imagine the hurt your going would cause'.
Sandy - a person suffering from Clinical Depression is in a place where logic and reasoning don't exist. Talking to someone 'may' help but it is unlikely to do much good.
When you feel that bad you feel that your options are limited. It is beyond description. Even thinking about Robin's suicide fills me with dread that this could be ahead of me.
So very sad, such an interesting man in interviews, always tried hard to please the audience as a professional no matter what was going on behind the scenes. Perfect acting in Good Will Hunting. RIP.
I loved Robin Williams. I knew that he was bipolar and battled very severe moods and depression. He was extremely talented. What a loss he is to the industry and to his family and friends.
Just woken up to hear this news. I am so shocked. He was one of the funniest man I ever saw. Everybody will be talking about Good Morning Vietnam, Mrs Doubtfire, etc and they were all marvelous. But it was "Awakenings" that will remain my favourite. Williams was a much better straight actor than most people ever gave him credit for.
He used to be a heavy drug user and I am wondering if this was a factor in his apparent suicide ?
